We Will Never Stop Defending Wild Alaska
“On behalf of Alaska Wilderness League, I am deeply disappointed by this week’s election results. However, we are not disheartened.,” said Kristen Miller, executive director. “Our commitment to protecting Alaska’s lands and waters remains unchanged despite the storm brewing on the horizon. For decades, we have fought against all odds to protect wild Alaska. As we brace for another Trump term, we will again fiercely defend Alaska’s lands, communities, and wildlife from the powerful extractive industries intent on exploiting landscapes for short term corporate profits. We’ve faced this challenge before, and we’re coming back with renewed determination. Together with our broad coalition of allies, we’re prepared to stand guard over the Arctic, uphold Indigenous rights, and protect our public lands. Our work now is to amplify our voices and double down in our efforts over the next four years—because Alaska’s future is worth this fight!”
