GIFTS OF STOCK

 

Another way to leave a lasting impact on Alaska’s amazing public spaces is by making a gift of stock to Alaska Wilderness League. The process is easy, and we are happy to answer any questions you have while making the transfer.

In order to make a gift of stock, please:

1. Contact our Director of Finance, Mladen Mates, at 202-266-0423 or Mladen@alaskawild.org.
2. Inform Mladen the expected date of the gift, the expected amount and the donor we should credit.
3. Deliver the gift to DTC Clearing 226. Please note that the gift is for Alaska Wilderness League and note the League’s SunTrust brokerage account number: DFL-174068.

We will take care of everything from there!

Alaska Wilderness League will sell the stock upon receipt. Upon doing so, our development team will follow up to acknowledge the gift and will send an acknowledgment letter for the gift amount. The letter will contain all relevant information for your taxes. The tax-deductible amount will be the total fair market value of the stock upon the date of the contribution.
